Concussion Resources.
Kentucky Youth Soccer Association is steadfast in its commitment to prioritize player safety, particularly concerning the critical issue of concussions. We recognize the significance of educating our soccer community on this vital matter, which is why we are joining the Heads Up in Youth Sports Campaign to we ensure that information and resources are readily available to all players, parents, coaches, and officials. This initiative equips our community with the necessary knowledge to identify, address, and manage concussions effectively. Our goal is to create an environment where the health and well-being of every player are paramount, promoting informed decision-making and fostering a culture of safety and responsibility within the realm of youth soccer.
US Youth Soccer collaborates with the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to raise awareness about concussions through the Heads Up in Youth Sports Campaign. Additionally, in partnership with the CDC, the National Federation of High Schools provides comprehensive training and supplementary materials addressing concussions.
